At a park, the beach, the forest, or in your backyard, a picnic generally means packing all the food and utensils and taking it outdoors! The less you have to cook at your favorite picnic spot the better. Barbecuing is fun, but carrying raw meat in an ice chest is potentially dangerous, and a hassle. If you have your meal pre-made, all that's left to do is eat and have fun!

Don't forget to bring along a game to play...
a croquet set, or even a simple frisbee will make for a fun afternoon!

Have a committee arrive early for secure a location, if its in a public park, arrive very early... and begin setting up.
Excessive decorations are not necessary, but signage leading to the picnic is helpful.
Have plenty of ice on hand to keep food & drinks cold.
Water balloon tosses and volleyball are fun for large groups. Purchase prizes for game winners.
There are lots of great camping/park areas to rent for the day, with huge barbecue pits and pools and all the trimmings.
Have an Ice Cream Social!
Live music is always a hit!
Rent a Dunk Tank! ...the employees will always remember dunking the boss!!!
